Ellsworth Kelly X Francisco Costa

Famed painter, sculptor, and printmaker, Ellsworth Kelly, has teamed up with Calvin Kelin, Creative Director-Francisco Costa, for a limited edition collection.  Kelly is known for his simplicity, minimalism, and use of bright colors.  Perfect match for the Calvin Klein designer.

This is not the first time the painter has collaborated or inspired famous designers.  Kelly has worked with Christian Dior and Cristobal Balenciaga. The single piece, very limited dress which as created by Francisco Costa is an interpretation/recreation of the dress made by Kelly... a basic sheath with wide horizontal panels in black, white, red and blue.

The dress will be donated to both the Metropolitan Museum in NYC and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  Otherwise, buyers can contact the Calvin Klein Madison Ave store for private orders.
