Vogue UK protects models

Vogue UK will be the first publication to enforce rules to help protect models. They have signed a ten point system with Equity (which normally works with actors/actresses).  The system will protect models at work while improving their working conditions.

Models hired by Vogue will not work longer than 10 hour days, adequate food should provided, no nudity unless discussed prior to the shoot, no one under 16 will be shot representing an adult, changing rooms, and a  handful of other normal needs which are met at any other occupation.

They hope the system will soon be followed by other media outlets.
