Richard Nicoll x Matches

British based designer, Richard Nicoll, is adding to his resume with a collaboration with Japanese retailer, Matches.  Nicoll is a graduate of Central Saint Martins and is known for his modernist classics... day to night versatility.

For Matches, Nicoll has created staples for everyone's wardrobe with the finest of detail... such as a bomber jacket, box pleat skirt, chambray shirt, and angora tunic.  All with a unisex feel.

The British Fashion Council calls Richard Nicoll and others Brits like him, "the New Establishment."  They aren't screaming like the others, but rather a beautiful whisper.  Nicoll states "I think this idea of being a peacock, of being noticed and being like a walking billboard; that whole notion is really changing. What is new and radical is doing something shockingly simple. So that's the approach I am taking. I want things to last a long time. It feels like the approach to collections needs to change so it's not such a wasteful process.'

The collection will be available at Matches beginning next month.
